Guided by faith, design excellence, and genuine care, she crafts each concept to reflect her clients’ unique desires and personalities. A hands-on designer, she is deeply involved in every project from inception to completion, creating timeless spaces that transcend fleeting trends.
With over 15 years of industry experience, Borum has worked with esteemed clients such as Hilton, St. Regis, Agile and Apple, delivering bespoke interior solutions and custom furniture. Her expertise spans businesses, financial institutions, tech startups, luxury residences, hotels, and retail spaces, ensuring each project is executed with precision and artistry.
Ji Ahn
Architect
Ji sees construction as an opportunity to connect, solve challenges, and bring creative visions to life. His focus on precision, collaboration, and attention to detail ensures every project’s success.
With over 15 years of experience, Ji has honed expertise in construction documentation, navigating the permitting process, and managing the complexities of daily construction with diligence.
He has contributed to projects for North Point, Levitt Foundation, Albany City Council, NOMA Parks Foundation, Yerba Buena Gardens, Fourth Street East, and more.
A graduate of California College of the Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Ji is passionate about advanced fabrication techniques, high-quality materials, and sustainable building systems.
Rex Mcvay
General Contractor
From securing permits to final inspections, Rex manages every phase of construction with unwavering attention to quality and timeliness. He coordinates subcontractors and inspections to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet the highest standards.
Dedicated to excellence, Rex upholds safety, cleanliness, and full compliance with building codes and regulations at every job site.
With over 10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction management, Rex brings passion and expertise to his role as crew leader at Borum Design + Build. Clients rely on his team to work efficiently and create transformative results.
Rex has proudly contributed to projects such as Cliff’s Hotel and Spa, Photography Studios, and River End Residences in Eagle.
Leighton Lee
Consultant Licenced Architect
With over 30 years experience in architectural design, construction documents, project Imanagement and construction administration for large commercial projects, hospitals, industrial, mixed-use developments and multifamily residential projects, Leighton focused on the production and technical aspects of architecture. With the years of technical experience in a multitude of building types laid the foundation for his ability to also provide forensic investigation, building system analysis and defe construction inspections and peer reviews. His understanding of construction techniques and waterproofing is further tempered through his experience in providing litigation services. Currently managing 6 multifamily construction projects totaling over 2,000 rentable units in the Bay Area from San Jose to Oakland. Active as studio and technical mentor to a staff of 12 members.
