Borum Ahn

Design Director / Project Manager

She is a “visual communicator”. Her first goal is earning your trust on your project. She tailors a concept to reflect your desire and personality. A very hands-on designer who deeply cares for each project from the beginning to the end while discovering transcend future trends.

A strong design/build professional with years of experiences in Construction Management. She leads her team from ideation to completion while preserving her strong, abounding relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.

With a fine arts background and a combination of artistry, she has had the unique opportunities to work across a broad spectrum of design disciplines including workplace, hospitality, retail, healthcare, and residential design.

She started her design journey at California College of the Arts where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture.

Borum realized her passion for Interior design, and formed the goal of, one day, opening her own design firm. She was able to fulfil this dream in 2014 with Borum Design.

Troy Hughes

Interior Designer / Design Lead / 3D Expert

Troy is an interior designer that has accumulated over five years of professional work experience in diverse work environments. Originally from a small town in New Jersey, he moved to the Bay Area to pursue an education in Interior Architecture. Troy considers himself to be an interdisciplinary designer that has a passion for human-centered design and academia. Though he’s considered a jack of all trades, he thoroughly enjoys minimalist design.

Cory Clute

Interior Designer / Commercial Furniture Expert

Cory is our “Furniture Guru”, she has a wealth of experience in commercial and residential design. Having worked in various markets in four different states, she has 11 years of commercial furniture expertise that she brings to the team. Cory is passionate about creating interior spaces that mirror the character and identity of the people who occupy them.

Cory Clute is a collaborator and consultant with Borum Design. She is also a designer in her own right – she started her firm, Clute Design, in 2017.

Leighton Lee, R.A., NCARB

Consultant / CA Licenced Architect

With over 30 years experience in architectural design, construction documents, project management and construction administration for large commercial projects, hospitals, industrial, mixed-use developments and multifamily residential projects, Leighton focused on the production and technical aspects of architecture. With the years of technical experience in a multitude of building types laid the foundation for his ability to also provide forensic investigation, building system analysis and defects, construction inspections and peer reviews. His understanding of construction techniques and waterproofing is further tempered through his experience in providing litigation services. Currently managing 6 multifamily construction projects totaling over 2,000 rentable units in the Bay Area from San Jose to Oakland. Active as studio and technical mentor to a staff of 12 members.
