Hotel Jalisco

Midtown Mexico

Hospitality / Full interior Design Service

Hotel Hilton in Guadalajara in Midtown, Mexico is an upscale hospitality project where the design intent was to maintain the Hilton design standards while also providing a unique experience for guests at the resort. The overall aesthetic that was achieved is sophisticated layering of texture and pattern, sleek architectural moments, and moments of accessorizing with geometry. The design is a love letter not only to Guadalajara's culture and historic past, but its flourishing future too.

Attention to detail plays a huge part in this project. Wall paneling, window treatments, architectural screening, partitions, and even the finish of accessories like vases and throws were meticulously chosen. Many of the patterns and pieces chosen are symbolic or have direct relation to the rich culture of indgineous Mexican people like the accent tiles in the dining area. Almost all of the furniture is custom which becomes very evident when looking at more of the sculptural seating in the larger public spaces. Though the overall palette is pretty limited to avoid the space feeling too loud, high contrast between materials, pattern and texture allow for unique moments as you travel throughout the spaces. The level of detail also continues outside with the rooftop and courtyard amenities. From the upholstery chosen on the outdoor furniture around the rooftop pool and bar to the architectural details of the pergola feature.
